Your Renewal Checklist
② National certification —
- ☐
② National certification
Check your certifying body's recertification handbook — most require pharmacology-specific CE within each cycle (ANCC: 25 pharmacotherapeutics hours per 5 years; AANPCB: 25 advanced pharmacology hours per 5 years).
③ Federal — DEA MATE Act
- ☐ 8 hours (one-time)
One-time training on treating and managing patients with opioid or other substance use disorders, attested on DEA Form 224/224a at your first registration or renewal on or after June 27, 2023. Hours may be aggregated across sessions; ANCC- and ACCME-accredited providers qualify.

The PMHNP CE Program covers the hardest line on this list: 115 CME contact hours including 75+ pharmacology hours — enough to satisfy pharmacotherapeutics requirements across state and certification cycles. 1 CME = 1 contact hour, fully AANP-approved.
